OPEN VISIT: PADOVA EN EUROPE
< BACK

Discover, for example, the University of Padua which was established in the 13th century and has since has attracted students and teachers from across Europe. Many of the brightest minds of the modern era, from Copernicus to Galileo, have studied at the University. Until the 17th century, it was the only European university to award degrees to Jewish students, and this is why a substantial Jewish Ghetto developed in the city and Padua became a meeting point for people of different backgrounds and cultures.

European tour created by Xena, Laura Rancan, volunteer, Nadia Martini, trainee, in partnership with Stefan Marchioro, professor at the University of Padua, and Turismo Padova Terme Euganee.
